Thanks for coming to The Haunted Sea!

Halloween was celebrated a little early last weekend at the Cannery with The Haunted Sea! It was a regular Monster Mash with sightings of sirens, spooky spirits, and more. There were many activities for all the young boys and ghouls, from crafting their own skele-fish, to a spooky storytime led by the costumed story-tellers from the Richmond Public Library, and the Haunted Sea itself, so that kids could collect stamps in exchange for candy!

Two types of tours through the sea – colourfully decorated by up-cycled plastics otherwise kept out of the ocean – were offered throughout the weekend. One child-friendly tour led by the bubbly Halloween Crab, and another, scarier tour for those brave enough. Led by Gnar, a nasty sea spirit that warned visitors of the danger facing them, the scary tour featured creatures of darkness which gave the Haunted Sea its name.

The Haunted Sea was great fun for the family and those who are excited to celebrate the spookiest time of the year. We thank all those who showed up and took part! Join us next year for more Spooktacular fun!
