Our Neighbourhood
The Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site is located in the historic village of Steveston, in the southwest corner of Richmond, BC. In the late 1800s, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery was just one of the many canneries along the shore at the mouth of the Fraser River. During this time the coastal village was known as the salmon canning capital of Canada.
