Sugary Sweet Summer with the Beauty Shop Dolls

The Cannery’s outdoor “Tank Deck” welcomed the Beauty Shop Dolls last Friday for a sentimental singing trip through the years. Dressed in matching red dresses and elegant red lipstick, the vintage vocal trio were the perfect compliment to our red and white cannery building. Aside from their stylish look, these ladies use tight harmonies and classic dance choreography to transform the stage into a retro-performance reminiscent of groups like The Chordettes and The Andrew Sisters. The Dolls dazzled us past the decades, and left us wanting more as their set closed.

There are only two shows left in our summer music series, don’t miss Willy Blizzard this Friday, August 23^rd. Music at the Cannery features a local musical act every Friday night from July 12 to August 30 at 6:30pm (doors open at 6pm). Concerts are rain or shine, outdoors weather permitting or indoors.
