Steveston Festival of Trees – a winner announced!

At the December 16th Cannery Farmers’ Market, the winner of the popular vote in Steveston’s Festival of Trees was announced – for the second year in a row, top votes went to Rivers Edge District Girl Guides! With individual hand-crafted ornaments created by members of the local Girl Guides group, the tree was a clear winner, followed by the second place, festive pink tree decorated by Nurse Next Door. Thanks to all the local community groups and merchants who participated this year – all donations for votes will go towards the Richmond Food Bank. The Festival of Trees will remain on display until December 31st, and is included in regular admission to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. Check holiday hours here.
