Steveston Festival of Trees 2021
The votes are in and we have our top three favourite trees!
A huge thanks to all of the local merchants and organizations who decorated trees this year. Nineteen trees illuminated the halls of the historic cannery for the month of December, and with just over 2000 votes (1200 in-person and 800 online) we can now announce our top three:
#1 River’s Edge Girl Guides
#2 London Heritage Farm Society
#3 With Our Own Two Hands
Honourable mentions to round out the top six: Steveston Community Society, Pajo’s, Richmond Lions Club
The River’s Edge Girl Guides with their “Our Guiding Tree” has once again won the top votes for the second year in a row. We must mention that all top three trees were the same as last year!
Thank you again to all of the local groups who participated, and to everyone who visited the Cannery to see the trees, in-person and online. We deeply appreciate how everyone was very respectful and understanding of the COVID protocols in place during the decorating process and when viewing the trees. We hope to see you all again next December!
