Seeking Summer Students for Heritage Interpreters

Are you passionate about our local history and would love to share it with others? Then this position is for you! We are seeking summer student candidates to fill our Heritage Interpreter positions for full-time employment from April 27 to September 7, 2020, under the Young Canada Works program.

Join our Cannery Crew, and help deliver public programs and tours to visitors from near and far! Heritage Interpreters are trained in public speaking, heritage interpretation, front-line hospitality, point of sale retail transactions, customer service, special events, and more. Fluency in English is required; additional languages including French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean or Spanish is an asset.

Applicants must be full-time post secondary students in the 2019-2020 school year, with intention to return to full-time studies for the 2020-2021 school year.  While the full-time student grants apply only during the summer months, continuing work at the Cannery on a part-time basis is also possible.
