About this event

The Gulf of Georgia Cannery is excited to present a new Remarkable Experience in partnership with Tourism Richmond, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at how the national historic site became an iconic symbol of Steveston and Canada’s west coast fishing history.

But what are the stories behind how the site was saved from destruction, and who collected the artifacts and anecdotes that are presented and shared with our visitors?

Tour the national historic site with a unique lens seen through the eyes of a local insider, and a special activity inside the museum’s collections space.
