125th Canniversary

The Gulf of Georgia Cannery, built in 1894, is celebrating its 125th year standing on wood pilings over the Fraser River in the historic fishing village of Steveston. In commemoration of this anniversary, we have designed a new logo to mark the events and exhibits that will be launched throughout the year, as we look back on how the past 125 years have helped shape the present and future of our west coast commercial fishing industry. We’ll also reflect on 125 years of changes in our local community of Steveston, and all over BC. We hope you enjoy this journey with us, and we look forward to exploring our history together!
